Here are some helpful links to guide you through the application process:

1. Create a Company Profile
Start by setting up your Company Profile. This contains all the Company Profile questions so that you can collect all the information required to fill it out. Your business can only create one Company Profile, this will be used to manage all your Better Business Grants from 2025 and 2026. If you already have a Company Profile, created in 2025, you will be prompted to verify the details are still accurate before making an application in 2026

2. View Available Grants
Once your profile is complete, you can see all the grants your business is eligible to apply for in the My Grants tab.

3. Check the Guidance
Each grant has pass or fail criteria for certain questions. Make sure that you read the guidance for the grant type you are applying for to give yourself every chance of success.
o Skills Grant
o Visitor Economy Development Grant
o Productivity Grant
o Apprenticeship Grant

4.Understand How Payments Work
You can read about how payments are made - it is important to review you this as you will be required to fund the project at certain points before receiving your full grant.

5. Read the Terms and Conditions
Make sure you know what you’re agreeing to before applying. (Link for all here)
o Minor grants (under £5,000)

o Apprenticeship grants

Remember: Keep your login details safe. All stages of the application happen in the portal, including uploading receipts and completing the post grant evaluation. More support is available on our website.
